I walked into The Lighthouse not knowing what to expect. It was my first time at Coffee With Creators, hosted by The Publish Press, and I showed up because it just made sense. At LA Related, we consider ourselves creators, we write, produce events, build tech, make videos, so being in a room like this felt like being with our people.

Going in, I assumed it would be a room full of YouTubers. Coffee, small talk, maybe some light networking. That was the expectation.

But the moment I stepped in, that idea fell apart, in a good way.

The room was full of creators, yes, but not just one type. I met authors, developers, editors, comedians, alongside long-form and short-form video creators. It wasn’t platform-specific—it was energy-specific. Everyone was building something. Everyone had a story. And everyone was open to talking.

The energy feels intentional. The space is clean, calm, almost designed for ideas to move. Conversations start easily. People are open. You meet strangers who don’t feel like strangers for long. Even Colin Rosenblum and Samir Chaudry are there in the mix, welcoming a 60+ crowd like hosts who actually care. Then you meet the editors behind the scenes, Hannah and Syd, equally warm, equally real. Plans for a future lunch come together without forcing it.

And that’s when it clicks.

You didn’t come just for coffee. You came for proximity, to people building things, thinking differently, creating momentum. That’s the real draw.

Would I go again? No question. And more than that, at LA Related, we wouldn’t just attend, we’d actively tell our LA audience to show up.
